Komothai AA - Kenya - Green

This is the unroasted version of our Komothai AA. 

This coffee is a little different from our usual Prodigal bright & fruity - this interesting coffee is a little softer, subtler savory flavors, with classic big Kenyan body. 

Kiambu County rests on the slopes of the Aberdare Range, and Komothai is especially well-endowed with rich red volcanic soils. For over 60 years, Komothai Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) has been producing quality coffee at their various washing stations across Kenya. 

Only red ripe cherries were selected before being pulped and fermented for 16-24 hours. No soaking is done during fermentation. Then the cherries were washed and laid to dry on raised beds for 14-20 days.
