This may be Prodigal's final new-crop Kenya of the latest harvest season, and it's really standing out! Unusual for Kenya, this is a single-estate AA lot instead of the usual large co-op coffees. This coffee has super ripe flavors of blackberry and cranberry, along with that signature Kenyan "big" quality. Also unique to this coffee is that it's a classic SL-28 & SL-34 separation. This coffee means business. Limited lot, don't wait!
Managed by Morris Njagi, Kivanga Estate spans 75 hectares at 1750 meters elevation. The estate operates its own washing station to process its own coffee. The cherries were picked at peak ripeness, sorted, floated, and pulped. The coffee aerobically fermented in open tanks, followed by washing and 14-21 days of drying on raised beds.
Process: Washed
Region: Emba, Kenya
Variety: SL-28 & 34
