Finca Las Buchanas is a new-to-us farm in Honduras, and we're thrilled to add their sidra to the menu. With punchy cherry and orange flavors, as well as creamy, soft persimmon, this is a lovely coffee. We don't have a lot, so don't wait!
Edis Joel Ávila manages this farm, which sits at 1750 meters. His love for the land and agriculture began with his mother, and he has worked to elevate his coffee to new levels of quality. This coffee was brought to us by Stephen at The Coffee Quest, in partnership with CONEXH, a Honduran organization working to improve Honduran coffees and reduce reliance on agrochemicals.
This coffee was traditionally washed, simply. Ripe cherries were picked, de-pulped, and fermented briefly for 10-12 hours. After triple-washing, the coffee dried on raised bed for 12-16 days.
Process: Washed
Region: La Paz, Honduras
Variety: Sidra
